Geographically speaking, Denmark’s The Blue Van is on the verge of a number of musical worlds. To the north is Sweden’s bountiful indie rock garden, to the west is the ripe old homeland of the British Invasion, and to the south is an endless supply of German death metal. When it came to crafting its own sound, The Blue Van created what is, for them, the perfect amalgamation of these elements: a very modern and upbeat indie rock with soulful and rocking guitar. (Yeah, sorry, they left out that death metal. Good choice on their part.)

Yahoo news reports that a Canadian business man named Gino Olivieri of Montreal won the bid for a 1/2-hour-long reel-to-reel tape of the Beatles singing an unrealesed song in Cameo Auctioneers’ internet sale.  Olivieri won the bid for 9,800 pounds ($19,000) plus tax and other costs.

According to the popular Nintendo Wii blog, NintendoWiiFanboy.com, The Financial Times have reported that The Beatles might be making their way into the next Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero games.  Representatives for The Beatles have been talking with Activision and MTV Games about using songs from the Beatles for future Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero games.  Click here to read the blog post.
