hey everyone,

been living a normal life for too long and realized i needed to do a lil update. Were in pre production i guess you can call it, over at hurley studios. Which is suprising for us considering it to us , 03, 04, 05, 06,.. 4 years to write the last fuckin record. Were feelin pretty pumped about the songs that we have closer to done and stoked on the possible songs we have yet to finish. i have these creative delusions of grandeur like were gonna make the next sgt, peppers, and i think its only natural too keep that kind of positive attitude. The problems can start when you aim for sgt peppers and just make a fake rip one, No were not looking to wear any costumes or have some twisted “holier then thou” concept looping around the songs, that doesnt really make sense till you player the record backwards while trippin’ balls on acid and choking your self out with your moms thin belts. God, my brain is not made of anything capable of focus, its all pure tangent, im like a never ending maze that keeps growing, and around each corner? complete and utter useless crap.

So ya, were writing , sonically experimenting, pre producing, and getting ready to track our next big thing. The songs are more songy, Its tough to get out of the verse, chorus, verse chorus bridge chorus, mantality, which dont get me wrong, we still love, but now we have a lot more cool parts that we wanna see in songs. To give you the obligatory One word sum up of the record, id have to say, TIGER. No, Id say More Dark, but not like nick cave dark. Its just I listen to alot of really bad music, and the majority of it is like dark and down tempo. Hammock, Cat power, Jeniferever, chopin, godspeed, So the way i have been writing has been like Up tempo incorporations of dark depressing riffs. Youre all saying the same thing ” EXCITING CHRIS, REALLY COOL” , whatever we should be done in about 8 weeks and Then come early fall we will be embarking on the greatest comeback tour we could possibly get, (” can i tell um yet?” ” oh? no?” ” ok” ).. ya sorry its one of those things. but here is a hint, its with a band and its in the USA. FUCK YA.

SO ya, i check her periodically, and take all the comments personally including the ” cove you are so hot, have my kids, hottest dude ever, greatest nicest person , cove you rule ” comments, i take those as if i am COVE. Its funny how im able to do that, you cant. But correct, recording and stuff is in full effect, we will have some news about the tour coming soon, and OH YA, most important.

starting in the early of august, we will be doing a live web stream collaboration with HURLEY.com, The tentative plan now is an all day creep a thon, which entails multi cam streaming of us in the studio.. ALL DAY, and how bout this WITH SOUND. crruciall. Ya i came up with this stupid idea months ago to have this security cam-esque , fly on the way all day all night stream setup, but as most things in my brain, it wasnt feasible on my own. Luckily hurley dug the idea and are going ” next level shiettt”. i will put any all details asap. but it seems pretty exciting, and hopefully , any one interested can get an insight into the true mechanics of a recording process.
