Box Office Report: October 5th
After several weeks off, I have decided to return to the Box Office Report. This one is for the weekend ending October 5th. Beverly Hills Chihuahua was in First place with a take of $29million. In second place was Eagle Eye, taking in $17.7million ($54.6million total). Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist was in third place with a take of $12million. Nights in Rodanthe was in fourth with a take of $7.36million ($25million total). Finally, in fifth place this weekend was Appaloosa with a take of $5million, which is not such a great number for big starring vehicle like this. Other notable films in the top ten include Fireprooof which still managed to sell $4million more worth of tickets putting it in 8th place. The highly controversial docucomedy, Religulous, was in 10th place with a take of $3.5million. Sadly, it doesn’t look like anyone cared to see the Michael Moore skewering comedy “An American Carol” which made only $3.8million. It looks funny but I’ll probably wait for DVD.
