mother’s day!!!!!! by john fortson

so its mothers day and i decided to do a blog…..sooooo…..anyways….my mom, dad and granny came down to o-town (orlando) for the birth of my little girl a month ago or so and i went to meet them at their hotel so i could lead them back to our house….so at the hotel my mom says to me…”hey on-ey (pronounced like johnny without the j) have you ever listened to this band they ROCK!”… to my surprise it was a twisted sister cd….the greatest hits to be exact….well she then went on to say….”they have a great beat…they’ve got this song that says “we’re gonna rock” and this other song about “how they aint gonna take it anymore.”"…i know…i’m as shocked as you are….so i go on to explain to my mom that i got in a lot of trouble in 5th grade because i listened to twisted sister…i reminded her that according to her they were evil because they dressed like women and had the “voodoo” beat….to which she responded…”oh…well they’re still ugly but they make me want to dance”….its funny how my mom didn’t find the glory of rebellion until her 60’s….so on this glorious mother’s day….momma i say yes…”we’re not gonna take it” and yes “i wanna rock!!”..so a very happy mother’s day to all you moms out there…i love ya momma….you make me laugh….and i love you more than you know! your son….john
