INDIE VISION MUSIC LAUNCHES SISTER SITE TO COEXIST WITH INDIE VISION MUSIC

Orange County, CA. based company and website INDIE VISION MUSIC, has been operating as a stand alone company since July of 2000. As of today, we, rather I, have decided to branch out the Indie Vision Music name into a whole new realm of media launching as a new site known simply as “TAKING OVER”. Taking Over will not replace Indie Vision Music but will rather compliment the site, coexisting together as one entity on the net. Taking Over is a sister zine to Indie Vision Music.com. Taking Over seeks to provide an independent and engaging perspective on topics of music, entertainment, politics, current events, and life in general. We go far beyond the independent music realm as found at our sister zine, Indie Vision Music, and move into territories unfamiliar. We wanted to take our love of things like film, video games, technology, and entertaiment in general and apply them to a written format to be shared with the world at large. We seek to not only share our common knowledge but to challenge readers at large with the notion that love is free, that love is indeed, free.

Indie Vision Music will continue to provide for you the latest in independent CHRISTIAN music news while Taking Over will cover just about everything else outside of that. Does that make sense now? I think it does. If not, email me, and we’ll talk.

So why change, why now? Well, I feel that IVM has reached it’s niche and it’s hard to break free from that. I have tried many times in the past to report on issues of entertainment, specifically films/movies and I feel that some of those posts have fallen on deaf ears. I think the crowds coming to IVM want to hear about their favorite bands and would rather not be bothered by all the other uneccessary chatter like video gaming, technology, film & entertainment, etc news. Those topics will now be best served over at TAKING OVER. I am also at a point in my life where I listen to so MANY different styles of music, not just from “Christian” artists, that I felt like sharing that interest with the public in a different format than IVM allowed. We’re also in a political season and I think some of that commentary can best be served at a site like Taking Over rather than at Indie Vision Music, a site built and geared towards music fans.
